FORGOTTEN Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Sanson has made a permanent switch to Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Nice.
The midfielder spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan with the Ligue 1 side.

During his time at Villa Park, he turned out 23 times for the club and netted his only goal in an FA Cup tie with Stevenage in January 2023.
And after a successful stint at the French side making 31 appearances for Ineos-owned Nice, the club have confirmed the star's permanent contract.

Sanson's time a Villa had been cursed with injuries.
He made his debut for the club as a late substitute in a 3–1 defeat to West Ham at Villa Park in February 2021.
But his debut term was shortlived after suffering a knee injury in April which ended his season prematurely.
Despite returning in August that year he was sidelined again in September after a recurrence of his injury.

His slow start in the Premier League led to Unai Emery sending the French star on loan to Strasbourg last January followed by Nice for this term.
Meanwhile, Emery's side are looking to sell a number of players in this summer's transfer window.
The club's superstar Ollie Watkins has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
