Ant McPartlin has just welcomed his first child with his Anne-Marie Corbett - in what may well prove to be difficult news for 'distraught' first wife Lisa Armstrong.
Fans rushed to congratulate Ant and Anne-Marie on their new arrival, who they welcomed to the world yesterday morning. Taking to Instagram, doting dad Ant announced that Anne-Marie had given birth to a 'beautiful' baby boy named Wilder Patrick McPartlin, revealing: "Baby is beautiful, Mummy's a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad's a mess."
Lisa, 47, also shared a cryptic post via Instagram Stories, which contained the following quote: "Be proud of how you have been handling these past few months. The silent battles you've fought, the moments you've had to humble yourself, the times you've wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength."

Friends told the publication that Lisa feels 'very wronged' by Ant, whom she had helped through a time of great personal difficulty.
The publication went on to elaborate on how Lisa is likely to be 'further distraught' by Ant's new tattoo that he revealed in Wilder's birth announcement. The tree design pays tribute to Anne-Marie, whom he refers to fondly as 'Amzie', his stepdaughters Poppy and Daisy, and their dogs, Milo and Bumble. Hurley, the labrador he and Lisa share, does not get a mention.

A colleague of Lisa's told the Mail: "Can you imagine having to see that if you're Lisa? It must literally have left her heartbroken. She tried so hard for their marriage, she tried so hard to save him and when they split she was left without a baby.
"It is so very sad. It broke poor Lisa, she gave him 23 years of her life, practically all of her adult life. Then when Ant is to be a dad he didn't even have the decency to tell her. She had to read about it in the Mail. What makes it all the more traumatic is that she and Anne-Marie were friends."

After learning about their then-budding romance in the papers, Lisa made her feelings crystal clear in a 12-word rant.
In the summer of 2018, while Ant and Lisa were still technically married, The Sun broke the news that Ant and Anne-Marie were in a relationship, with the couple having become close amid Ant's personal difficulties. Anne-Marie had worked as a PA for Ant and Lisa for six years - even organising their 10th wedding anniversary party in 2016 - and the news story apparently came as a complete shock.
Responding to one sympathetic social media user, Lisa commented: "Yeah My friend and OUR PA who I let into OUR home", completing her furious rant with a broken heart emoji. When asked by another user whether Ant had been 'decent' enough to forewarn her before the relationship was made public, Lisa replied: "Nope. Just [found out] how you guys did x".
In recent times, Lisa has reportedly extended an 'olive branch' to Ant, six years after their split. A source told OK!: "Lisa knows Ant is ready to move on with the next chapter of his life - she doesn't want to be angry anymore. She's done a lot of healing over the past few years and spent so much time being upset and angry about everything.
"It has been exhausting but she has done a lot of work on herself. It seems everyone is having a fresh start with the end of the show and Ant's new chapter in his life, so Lisa wants to make sure she's in a good place."
