Antonio Brown has once again landed in hot water with a controversial social media post about WNBA star Caitlin Clark following her debut for the Indiana Fever. The ex-NFL player, notorious for his contentious remarks, initially offered praise to Clark but couldn't resist making another inappropriate comment about her privates.

This latest incident adds to the negative attention Brown has attracted since his NFL days with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots, despite still commanding a significant online following.

Clark experienced a mixed performance during Tuesday's game against the Connecticut Sun, scoring 20 points but also setting a new record for turnovers for the Fever with 10. The pressure is on for the young basketball star, not just from the high expectations of her athletic prowess but also due to the unwelcome attention she's receiving off the court.

Fever head coach Christie Sides remained optimistic despite Clark's challenging debut, calling for support and patience from the fans. She emphasized the need for teamwork, stating: "We've got to help her out. We've got to do a better job of coming back to the ball.

"We worked on that several times this week, just knowing that that was going to probably be what they were going to do on her."

The coach then added: "We just have to do a better job of getting somebody back to the ball. Sides also spoke about what Carrington did to impact Clark's game."

She defended their impressive debut star and said: "I wouldn't say 20 points is keeping her down," but she chalked it up to nerves. "But Dijonai's an athletic guard and they had a game plan against her, and it's just going to take some time for her to figure that speed and quickness and physicality out."

In backing her team, Sides suggested: "It's something she's not had. So we tried to rep it and mimic that at our practices with our practice guys as much as we could, but it's just not the same. So then just some timing for her of just having those reps against these kind of players."

Looking ahead, the Fever know they face an uphill battle in a packed early-season schedule, including two clashes with the New York Liberty, finalists last year.

Clark also shared some of her own reflections on her performance, stating: "Some uncharacteristic things, like pick the ball up and travel, dribble it off my foot," and acknowledged "A few things that, you know, you have to be crisper."
