The launch is a first-of-its-kind collaboration with film director Sofia Coppola, who worked on the 2023 Priscilla biographical drama, inspired by her love of the brand’s original lip balm. The release features designed to suit all skin tones, including one inspired by Sofia’s favourite lipstick she reportedly ‘hoarded’ after it was discontinued.

The shade in question, simply called ‘shade 1’ is a sheer, deep pink, while shade 2 offers a bolder, bright, red coral hue with shade 3 being a more earthy, burnt plum. It’s rich and moisturising without being sticky. It gives a gentle sheen. I’m very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend you try this, you will not be disappointed.”

“I’ve been on a journey to find the perfect lip balm, and I’ve found it in The Lip Balm!” said another, who added it was “tasteless, smooth, and long lasting.’

A third penned: “Buh bye to all other lip balms … I live in a very very dry climate and have autoimmune dryness. I struggle with dry lips. This lip balm is the only one I’ve found that works to moisturise, soften and soothe.”

However, some found that it needed to be reapplied regularly, adding: “I like the lip balm, but feel like it needs to be reapplied more frequently than some of the others I have.”
