The mum of a dancer killed in a "sex game gone wrong" has spoken out against her daughter's "controlling" boyfriend.
Georgia May Brooke, 26, from Ossett, West Yorkshire, died after her 31-year-old boyfriend Luke Cannon choked her to death while they had sex. Georgia died in Bradford infirmary in the early hours of February 4, 2022. Luke was found dead later that day having taken his own life.
A hearing at Bradford's Coroner's Court found Georgia's death was caused by "manual strangulation" compounded by the use of the "party drug" GHB and that Cannon had been found hanging at a location close to the hospital.
Following an inquest into both of their deaths, Georgia's mum Samantha Beaumont blamed Cannon and slammed his "controlling" and "coercive" behaviour. In a statement her family's "journey to seeking justice and closure has finally come to an end."

The loss left the family shattered, Samantha said during the inquest, according to YorkshireLive. "The impact on my family has been huge. We are devastated beyond belief. Georgia has gone, leaving a huge hole."
She added her daughter's personality changed after she met Cannon, and described his behaviour as "manic and hyperactive" while Georgia became "submissive." The devastated mum also accused Cannon of being "controlling."
In a statement, a friend claimed Georgia and Luke had a 'sex and drug-fuelled relationship' and would choke each other. The friend added that Luke 'seemed manipulative' and came across as a 'loud mouth and ladies' man.'
The coroner's court heard that while Cannon was known to some as a property developer, one witness claimed he was involved in drug dealing. His landlord revealed that Cannon previously worked as a personal trainer and owned his own gym.

A doctor, who examined Georgia at Bradford Royal Infirmary, stated that it seemed Georgia had been dead for a longer period than Luke had indicated. An examination revealed purple 'ligature marks' around Georgia's neck.
A nurse who spoke to Cannon at Bradford Royal Infirmary disclosed that he admitted they had been using the drug for a "euphoric sensation" during sex. The nurse added Cannon seemed agitated, similar to when someone is under the influence of cocaine.
