FOODIES have reason to celebrate this weekend, as Aldi has announced the return of their beloved garlic bread crisps.

The fan favourites will be returning to shelves on Sunday 19th May, and will be priced up at £1.15 for a 150g bag.

But you'll have to be quick if you want to nab a bag, as they were a total sell out when they hit stores in February.

The Specially Selected crisps were first released in 2023, and fans have desperately asking since then for them to be made a permanent addition to the shelves.

"Glad to see these bad boys back," one person wrote on the Aldi UK Shoppers group on Facebook.

"Middle aisle Specialbuy. They are very moorish!"

"I was literally saying I wish this flavour existed the other day," another added.

"These are the best crisps we’ve had for years - so tasty!" a third commented.

"Spotted them in my local Aldi yesterday – bought a stash of them!!!" someone else wrote.

"They should definitely be a permanent fixture!!" another gushed.

As someone else added: "My dream crisps - I love these so much!"

In addition to the garlic bread crisps, the Specially Selected 'Nduja Spice crinkle cut crisps and the Pizza Margherita flavours are also returning to shelves.

However, they're all Specialbuys - so once they're gone, they're gone.

"I ate a whole bag of these yesterday," one commented on an Instagram post announcing the garlic crisps' comeback.

"I’m a garlic bread addict so need to try these," another added.

"Omg heading to buy these right now," a third said.

Not everyone was a fan of the new crisps though, with one writing: "I bought these for my boyfriend who is OBSESSED with garlic bread but he said they were disgusting and threw them in the bin!

"They didn’t smell great either!"
