I think it’s pretty safe to say that latest store launch has been nothing short of a roaring success. This week, the French beauty giant opened its much-anticipated Manchester store, and the queues haven’t stopped since with some reportedly even camping out ahead of it opening to the public.
The latest branch, located at The Trafford Centre, is the . But what makes it particularly special is that it’s the first outside of London, bringing Sephora-mania to the North for the first time.
The retailer pulled out all of the stops for the official opening, inviting press down for an exclusive preview of the store ahead of anyone else. And trust me, there is nothing more satisfying than an untouched, fully stocked beauty retailer, with every product forward facing and pulled forward, with testers yet to be used and tills yet to be christened.

In the evening, dozens of influencers, celebrities and media personalities were invited to an exclusive VIP party filled with live entertainment, champagne and, of course, the one thing people can’t stop talking about on social media: the goodie bag.

I had heard earlier in the day that are ‘next level’, but exchanging my wristband for the black branded tote bag, it took seconds to realise why. I didn’t even need to look inside to know that this was, without doubt, one of the most lavish hauls solely from the sheer weight of the bag.
The Sephora goodie bag weighed a whopping 7kg - but lugging it around was made worth it by the incredible contentsAs I pulled it off the till, my arm dropped to the floor and there was a short-lived sense of regret that I was now going to have to carry it around - but it was a small price to pay for the contents of the coveted freebie. Back home, I was able to weigh the bag, and it tipped the scales at 7kg. The epic gift gives a glimpse of what the beauty obsessed can expect to find in store, but doesn’t scratch the surface in comparison to the volume of brands packed into the unit. The Trafford Centre store is home to over 125 brands, including exclusive lines such as SEPHORA COLLECTION, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, Glossier, GXVE Beauty, ONE/SIZE Beauty, Makeup By Mario, Skinfix, Vegamour, The 7 Virtues, and Commodity.
The store will also introduce new brands like Adwoa Beauty, Relevant, STRAAND, Salt & Stone, and Naked Sundays. In-store exclusives such as TATCHA, Glow Hub, Glow Recipe, Coco Cosmetics, and Danessa Myricks will be available for customers to explore, alongside cult favourites like Fenty Beauty, MILK Makeup, Kosas, Drunk Elephant, and Sol de Janeiro.
What’s more is that the store has its own Beauty Hub, offering makeovers and skincare including a Manchester exclusive with Grown Alchemist, with a Benefit Bar where you can get your brows refreshed.
There’s also a huge range of fragrances for men and women, a whole wall dedicated to skincare, rows and rows of professional and salon grade hair care, including brands like Dyson, Shark and GHD, not to mention the best-loved Sephora minis as you’re queuing for the tills.
