Father's Day (June 16) is on the horizon, meaning you need to start thinking about what you're going to get the special man in your life. And while beauty isn't the first thing you may think of treating your dad to, it's a lovely option as all men deserve a bit of a pampering now and again.
Lookfantastic has just launched a brand-new Father's Day Grooming Edit which costs £45 but contains products worth over £177. It's packed with products that promise to leave dads with softer skin, brighter eyes, and well-coiffed hair.
Featuring top brands like Origins, Shiseido, NIP+FAB and ELEMIS - to name a few - this grooming kit is a gorgeous way to say thank you to your dad by indulging him in some TLC.

Save £135 on this luxury Hugo Boss robe that's now less than £35!Shortly after it launched, first-time dad Sam tried the Grooming Kit out for himself and shared his top picks from the edit. Speaking about his first impressions of the box, Sam said: “I think it’s a nice idea, something different and looks like an expensive gift due to the packaging. I do like the odd spa day and this is kind of like an at-home version.”
Sam’s top 5 picks from the box:
men-ü SLIC Smooth Leave-In Conditioner 100ml (full-size)
“My wife always tells me I should use conditioner more often when I shower as I tend to just shampoo and then style my hair for speed. I liked the fact you can do this once you are out of the shower before you style your hair. It’s very convenient to use and worked with my normal styling products”.
Shiseido Men's Total Revitalizer Eye 5ml (deluxe size)
“I work full time behind a computer screen, as well as having a little one who doesn’t always give us the best night’s sleep, so can look tired around the eyes. On first use I actually felt my skin feel a little tighter so I am keen to keep testing this over time to see if it makes a difference and of course it would be great if it made me look younger too!”
Rituals Life is a Journey - Sport Car Perfume 2 pack 3g (full-size)
“I don’t normally like car air fresheners as they can be overpowering and sickly. This is a more subtle smell that isn’t too strong. I also like the design as it’s made to attach to your cars fan unit and looks smart in the wooden holder that you can use again”.
NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Extreme Scrub 6% 75ml (full-size) and the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Morning Matrix
"I haven’t really felt the need before for daily moisturiser or face scrubs and would say I have used them off-and-on over the years. I am training at the moment for my 4th Ironman event in September in Wales therefore I am out and about in the elements, sweating and then showering more often than normal.
I think it might be good to pair up the NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Extreme Scrub 6% 75ml (full-size) and the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Morning Matrix 15ml (deluxe size) at least once weekly to help my skin after training sessions. I found the Nip and Fab face scrub definitely on the rougher side of any face scrubs I have used before but if used once a week I can see it leaving my face feeling cleaner. The ELEMIS cream smelt nice and was easy enough to use so I would be willing to keep giving it a go over the next few weeks to see."
Sam felt he was less likely to make the Origins Dr Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion 200ml (full-size) and the Mio Clay Away Body Cleanser 200ml (full-size) part of his routine as these were a little less convenient to use. He said: “The Origins lotion smelt nice but is very much a liquid so unless you are going to use a cotton pad it goes everywhere and I don’t think that’s something I would honestly do moving forwards, I found the clay texture of the Mio body cleanser a bit awkward to use in the shower so again not something for my everyday use.”
As for his thoughts on the box as a whole? Sam said “I think this does make a nice Fathers Day gift and I would be happy to get one again."
Although he did have some suggestions for the box - as someone who is relatively new to beauty. He said: "I think it would just be handy to have more information on how you are supposed to use the products in the box as it isn’t always clear from the packaging where they should be used or how often for other Dads like me who are less clued up on this sort of thing.”
