Manchester City goalkeeper Scott Carson was removed by security at 4am as the Premier League champions celebrated their fourth successive title.
Pep Guardiola ’s side claimed the title on the final day of the 2023/24 season with a 3-1 win against West Ham. Celebrations got underway in earnest after the final whistle and continued late into the night.
The squad and staff celebrated on the pitch at the Etihad Stadium before taking the party into Manchester city centre. Some players enjoyed a meal together at local restaurant Fenix. The party continued well into the early hours of Monday morning. But it took a turn for Carson.
Pictures from the night show the 38-year-old being surrounded by security at 4am, before he was then removed from the venue.
Manchester City have been approached for comment. Carson, a four-time England international, has been with the club since 2019 after initially joining on loan from Derby.

He penned a permanent deal at the Etihad Stadium and has been there ever since. He has made two appearances for City - but Guardiola has regularly expressed his praise of Carson.
“The best advice I could give to the young players is to stay around Scott Carson as much as possible in the locker room and on the pitch,” the Spaniard said in 2022.
“It would be better than being with me. If they spend a lot of time [with him], listen to him and pay attention, that is the best advice and learning they can get about their future careers.

“Every second he is training and every minute you get on the pitch and in the changing room [with Carson], you value. It’s like the young actors have to be with the old actors on the set. They are wiser and have the values of the profession.”
Carson penned a new deal ahead of the 2023/24 season and Guardiola gave an insight into his influence. He said: “We spoke this morning. He deserves it [new contract]. He is a guy when he talks everybody listens.
“He helps take quality training sessions, especially after a game. We have him. In the locker room and with the staff you cannot believe the impact [he has], we are very pleased to have him.”
Carson sees his current deal expire at the end of the season. Away from the goalkeeper, City’s party appeared to go off without any more hitches.
England winger Jack Grealish was at the heart of the celebrations. In an Instagram story, he can be seen holding up his medal and signing.
Grealish was also filmed signing 'Don't You Want Me' by The Human League later in the evening. Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, John Stones and Manuel Akanji all celebrated - some with their partners.

Guardiola was also in attendance alongside his wife Cristina. While City have toasted their fourth successive title, they could yet have more celebrations on the way should they beat rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final at the weekend.
