A post sent out from Donald Trump's social media account suggested his victory would bring about a "unified Reich".
The post was shared on the former president’s Truth Social account while he was on a lunch break from his Manhattan hush money trial. It used the word "Reich" - a word which has strong connotations of Hitler's "Third Reich" - or the Nazi regime.
In the video, the phrase "unified Reich" is seen included in hypothetical news headlines announce Trump's hypothetical victory as a narrator asks, "What happens after Donald Trump wins?" A headline reading "WHAT'S NEXT FOR AMERICA?" before a. smaller headline underneath "INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED DRIVEN BY THE CREATION OF A UNIFIED REICH."

The post was shared on the former president’s Truth Social account (TruthSocial)The video goes on to suggest Trump would bring an economic boom, tax cuts, border security and deportation of undocumented immigrants if Trump wins the 2024 election. Joe Biden's spokesperson James Singer said: "Donald Trump is not playing games; he is telling America exactly what he intends to do if he regains power: rule as a dictator over a ‘unified reich,’"
Trump's campaign said the video was not an approved campaign post, with spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt saying: "This was not a campaign video, it was created by a random account online and reposted by a staffer who clearly did not see the word, while the President was in court."

Trump previously used rhetoric echoing Adolf Hitler when he said immigrants entering the U.S. illegally are “poisoning the blood of our country,” and called his opponents “vermin.”
The former president has also drawn wide backlash for having dined with a Holocaust-denying white nationalist in 2022 and for downplaying the 2017 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, where white nationalists chanted “Jews will not replace us!”
