What Princess Anne is doing in Norway with her godson this week

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, is set to visit Norway this week to meet her godson, Haakon, the Crown Prince of the country. They are set to visit Norway's Resistance Museum together following a visit to Vemork, the Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum in Rjukan.

Vemork is a hydroelectric power plant outside the town of Rjukan in Tinn Municipality in Telemark county, Norway. The power station is now a museum.

The visit will is taking place from today (Tuesday, May 21) to tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22. It is believed Queen Elizabeth's only daughter will stop by at the museum at around 1pm.

Norway's Resistance Museum also known as the Norwegian Home Front Museum is a museum located at the Akershus Fortress in Oslo. The museum collection focuses on Norwegian resistance during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany from 1940 to 1945. The museum displays equipment, photos and documents from the war years.

Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway is the heir apparent to the Norwegian throne. He is the only son of King Harald V and Queen Sonja.

He represents the fourth generation of the sitting Norwegian royal family of the House of Glücksburg.

Following her short but sweet visit to Norway, The Princess Royal is expected to visit the Hornet Services Sailing Club in honour of its 60th anniversary. She is set to do this on Thursday, May 23 - followed by opening the Army Offshore Sailing Centre at Haslar Road, Gosport in Hampshire.

The Royal Family diary then seems to show the Princess having a week or so off, before attending the Trinitytide Anniversary, Annual Court Meeting and Luncheon at Trinity House and St, Olave's Church in London.
