WEST HAM are set to revive their interest in Wolves captain Max Kilman.

The Hammers are planning a fast start to the transfer window with the club keen to back new boss Julen Lopetegui ahead of his first season in charge.

Kilman has been a long-term target for the East Londoners, though cash-strapped Wolves are expected to demand a premium for the defender - with the asking price expected to be close to £45million.

Incoming boss Lopetegui worked with Kilman during his short stint at Molineux, with the 27-year-old making 24 appearances under the Spaniard.

The Hammers are looking to overhaul their defence this summer after setting a record for goals conceded in a Premier League season this term, shipping 74.

Their back four has been beset by injury and poor form all year long.

Kilman, however, played every minute of the Premier League season and has continued to excel.

While West Ham are considered the frontrunners at this stage, there is expected to be plenty of interest across the window.

West Ham are also keen on Hull defender Jacob Greaves, while they would consider offers for club captain Kurt Zouma who has battled long-term knee problems all year.

Nayef Ageurd, who attracted interest from Saudi Arabia in January, has an uncertain future at the London Stadium.
