Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz and his girlfriend, Villa women's star Alisha Lehmann, could both find themselves playing for Juventus next season thanks to a double transfer.
Switzerland international Lehmann has been with Villa's women's team since 2021, joining after three years at West Ham. Brazil international Luiz moved to Villa Park two years earlier, with the pair starting a relationship not long after Lehmann moved to the club.
After ending things the following year, they reunited in 2024. Now, though, interest in Luiz from Italian side Juve had threatened to force them into a long-distance relationship.
Juve are understood to have an agreement in place to bring the 26-year-old to Turin, though they appear to need to sell players to raise the funds for the big-money transfer. And, while waiting for the deal to get over the line, the former Manchester City man has been lobbying for Juve to add his girlfriend to their women's squad.
According to reports in Italy (via Goal), Juve have 'opened the door' to signing Lehmann as well as Luiz. The Swiss star has more than 100 WSL appearances under her belt, and brought up a half-century of international caps this year.
Conte does little to ease Tottenham fears with dour response to Aston Villa lossJuventus' women finished second in the league this season, qualifying for next year's Champions League. Their men will also return to European football's top club competition next term, having finished third in Serie A.
As well as her impressive on-field exploits, Lehmann has cemented her and Luiz's status as a social media power couple off the pitch. She boasts more than 16 million followers on Instagram, significantly more than Luiz's 1.2 million.

Luiz's move to Juventus, if confirmed, could pave the way for Liverpool to land Juve winger Federico Chiesa. The Euro 2020 winner, currently away with his country at this summer's Euros, is not believed to be part of new manager Thiago Motta's plans in Turin.
Chiesa is one of a number of players tipped to leave the club this summer. Another is Argentinean winger Matias Soule, who has attracted interest from Premier League side West Ham United among other clubs.
Another star tipped to move this summer is Wojciech Szczesny. The former Arsenal keeper has been courted by Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, amid questions over his long term future under Motta in Serie A.
