Scrambled eggs are one of those foods that can be difficult to get just right, but luckily for us, one chef has shared how he makes the perfect 'soft' consistency.
Sharing a video on Tik Tok, chef Thom Bateman, has been teaching his followers all about the "basics" of cooking, starting with scrambled eggs and streaky bacon on a brioche bun.
Explaining how he gets his eggs just right, he began: "We're going to start by taking some butter to a nut brown stage, letting that cool completely and then adding the eggs. We want the heat on a really really low temperature.
"Keep the stirring nice and gentle until that soft scramble forms." Following this Thom shared his secret ingredient, just a touch of double cream, which he put in the eggs alongside salt, pepper, and some fresh chives.
After perfecting the eggs, Thom moved on to the bacon, which he first cut in half before adding water to the pan alongside the meat.

You then just toast the bun in the bacon fat, and add whatever condiments you want. Although Thom recommends 'hot ketchup' which is a mixture of ketchup, hot sauce, and maple syrup.
Other TikTok users have been quick to comment on the video, sharing their thoughts on the recipe. One wrote: "Just made these for Father's Day breakfast they taste amazing!"
"These look delicious" added another. While a third penned: "Looks so good! I'd add a slice of cheddar on there." And a fourth added: "Those eggs look sooooo good."
