Kelly Rowland's repeated six words to security staff at Cannes Film Festival, according to a leading lip-reading expert.

The Destiny's Child hitmaker was involved in a heated exchange with the employee at the Marcello Mia premiere on Tuesday night. It wasn't confirmed what was said between the pair, until now – with a professional analysing footage from the moment.

It's been reported the security guard stepped on Kelly's stunning red dress before apologising. Lip reader Jacqui Press explains that she allegedly told the staff member "It's okay", before the awkward moment began – with Kelly looking extremely frustrated.

Something must have been said as the she says, "Don't talk to me like that." Her mood appeared to completely change as she was ushered up the stars. She said the phrase several times before a male security guard walked over to the pair, per MailOnline.

"You still don't talk to me like that," she reportedly told the two after the heated exchange. The singer wagged her finger at the woman and even appeared to turn back to further admonish the member of staff after she had walked further up the stairs.

It comes after body language expert Judi James revealed all to the Mirror, also speaking out the incident. "The hilarious aspect of this clip is how Kelly shape-shifts from a state of gracious, regal, hand-on-chest elegance to a finger-waggling state of what looks like authority in three easy stages," Judi explained, referencing her glamourous ensemble.

She added: "The red carpet is largely a 'one shot' appearance. You walk in, adopt your pre-planned, pre-rehearsed pose for the press, hold it for the eternity it takes for them all to record it, then waft on wearing the same expression. Kelly's finger-waggle proved more of a story than her gracious wafting though, which she should have known would happen.

"She had the option of 'ventriloquism' where many celebs will correct behaviour or verbalise their displeasure but in a masked way, speaking from the side of the mouth while retaining a flawless smile for the cameras. What we see here though is a gesture of authority and reprimand in that long, upward-pointing, waggling finger and she's using it on a member of staff, not a fellow star who has done something to displease her."

Judi said it was easy to see the moment Kelly's irritation grew "as the security team try to usher her along as she is keen to throw some more poses at the cameras." The expert added: "With their arms held out to usher, Kelly turns to one and touches her arm in what looks like an amicable signal to back off. Then the finger comes up, finally ending in a full, raised baton gesture as she turns her face fully towards the woman and speaks in what looks like a commanding way, suggesting displeasure," Judi explained.

She added: "The woman laughs it off but she and the rest of the team seem to have been briefed to be firm with the timings here. Red carpet backlogs can be a nightmare for celebrities as well as security and when time is tight in terms of each individual appearance there will often be a lot of steering going on."
