Katie Price has posted another cryptic quote about narcissists following her split from ex-Love Island star Carl Woods.
Though the 46-year-old former glamour model now appears to be loved up with 32-year-old Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, it left fans wondering if Carl had got in touch - despite him and Katie parting ways at the end of 2023 after more than two years together.
A reel Katie shared to her Instagram stories questioned: “Why is a narcissist so dangerous for someone with ADHD? The beginning stages of a relationship are very similar. They both love bomb. A narcissist uses it for information to be able to use against you later. And the ADHD person just wants to get to know you really well (no malicious intent).
“It’s hard to determine which one is which because we think they are just like us (with the narcs love bombing, they are also mirroring your loving qualities that they are lacking). Then when they pull back, we chase because we want that dopamine they were giving us. We’re really understanding people so we tend to forgive behaviours before they even ask for forgiveness (if they ever do).
“Because we can understand why someone does something. So we rationalise it in our head as well, they did this because this happened to them in their life. And so we hand them the excuse on a silver platter without them even having to do any of the work. By the time we see the issue with the behaviours, you’re hooked. But it’s NEVER too late to set boundaries to protect yourself. Narcissists HATE boundaries at any stage in a relationship. And they’ll use our empathy against us. Know that you are worth compassionate love!”
Katie Price shows off results of 'painful' breast op as she unbandages boobsLast summer, Katie revealed she had been diagnosed with ADHD, which means her “brain is wired differently”, and said she was undergoing therapy to make better decisions, so it’s likely she was referring to herself in the cryptic post.
And it’s not the first time she has posted about narcissists on her social media. Just last month, Katie shared another post detailing 'five reasons the narcissist hates you'. The post read: "Five reasons the narcissist hates you: 1. You've stopped falling for their lies 2. They've lost the control they once had over you 3. You've cracked their facade and see them for who they really are 4. You're no longer desperate for their approval 5. Their schemes and tricks don't work on you anymore."
Though fans questioned whether Katie was referring to Carl, there is the suggestion it could be one of her other exes, such as Kieran Hayler or Peter Andre, both of whom she shares two children with.
When Katie and Carl were on and off last year, Katie uploaded a story in order to put the rumours to bed. Screenshotting an article by The Sun that had the headline: “ takes cryptic swipe at ex Carl Woods as she shares post about ‘narcissists living double lives’”, the mum-of-five made it clear that Carl was not the person she was referring to.
In another cryptic dig, she revealed: “Isn’t it funny I put a post up and straight away journalists presume they think they know who I’m aiming at. Put it this way it’s million percent not about @carljwoods I think everyone knows who the real narcissist is in my life.”
