Jenna Coleman, former Emmerdale, Waterloo Road and Doctor Who star has revealed that she is having her first baby. The 38-year-old actress debuted her blossoming baby bump as she attended a special event celebrating the opening of the a new exhibition at Chatsworth House yesterday (June 19, 2024).

In photos from the event the mum-to-be is seen holding her bump, looking quite far along in the pregnancy but absolutely regal in a gorgeous green and white floral dress. It comes months after she ignored speculation that she had married The Sandman director, Jamie Childs, 35, - in which she stars in a main role.

Recent pictures of Jenna often show her in large coats with dark baggy, but still stylish clothing. Just last week the BBC released new pictures of Jenna Coleman in forthcoming crime drama The Jetty, where there were no signs of her upcoming parenthood.

The four-part BBC mystery, filmed in and around Lancashire, examines sexual morality, age of consent, grooming, identity and memory.

When interviewed for BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Coleman expressed her admiration for the monarch. She argued that this role meant she was able to break out of her supposed "box" as a northern working-class character that Emmerdale put her in.

She returned to the West End stage beginning in January 2023, co-starring with Aidan Turner in a revival of the 2015 Sam Steiner play, Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons, initially with a nine-week run at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London, followed by runs in Manchester and Brighton up until April.

That same year she played Liv Taylor in the Amazon Prime thriller Wilderness, based on B.E. Jones' novel of the same name, alongside Oliver Jackson-Cohen. The series was streamed on Amazon Prime beginning on 15 September 2023.

She also appeared as Bo in Jamie Childs' thriller film, Jackdaw, reuniting once again with Jackson-Cohen. The film debuted at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas in September 2023.

When it comes to Netflix's The Sandman, Jenna is reported to have met her babies presumed father-to-be, director Jamie Childs on set here. The pair since worked together again on Jamie's first film Jackdaw.

It is not yet known when fans are going to get the second season of The Sandman sadly.

Netflix has not yet provided a release date or window but he series was notably absent from Netflix's February 2024 Next on Netflix series preview, which confirmed over 90 new and returning shows and movies. At the moment, we're expecting the series to be back on our screens safely by 2025 - however, this could now be up in the air with the imminent arrival of the couple's bundle of joy.
