IF you're someone who wears makeup, then you likely know the struggle of getting it off your clothes.
A beauty expert revealed the hacks she swears by for cleaning stubborn stains from clothes.
Hayley Walker, who works as a makeup artist for Justmylook, explained that product stains are "easily spread and are notoriously stubborn to remove."
“With the right techniques and cleaning solutions, you can remove these stains and save your fabric," she said.
For her first recommendation, she advised placing the stained area under running water as soon as possible.

“As soon as you notice a stain, avoid rubbing it, as this can push the stain deeper into the fabric, making it more difficult to remove or potentially causing a permanent mark,' she said.
Walker highlighted the importance of rinsing the material under high pressure in cold water.
"This method helps to loosen the product and simplifies the stain removal process,' she explained.
Next, she suggested pre-soaking the stain in liquid detergent and using the bottle cap to dab the affected area.
"Alternatively, mix a tablespoon of detergent in two cups of hot water, then use a clean white cloth to blot the stain with the solution," Walker said.
"Repeat this process over the affected area until no more makeup residue is transferred onto the cloth."
For her next step, she recommended placing the stained item in your washing machine on a regular cycle.
“For maximum results, wash at a high temperature, however, always check the item’s care label first," she advised.
Once the cycle is finished, remove the clothing item and leave it to air dry.
If you're in a pickle and don't have laundry detergent, Walker suggested subbing in dish soap instead.

“Since oil is a common ingredient in makeup products, dish soap's ability to break down oil makes it particularly effective," she explained.
"Applying a few drops of dish soap helps loosen the stain and dissolve grease and oil, making cleanup easier."
Walker recommended leaving the dish soap to sit on the stain for five to 10 minutes before rinsing it with cold water and leaving it to dry.
"If the stain remains visible, use a soft-bristled toothbrush to work the product out of the fabric's fibers,' she suggested.

And if you're somewhere with no cleaning products on hand, Walker revealed the beauty items that can help in a pinch.
Walker noted that makeup remover can work to remove products from your clothes as well as your face.
She emphasized the importance of selecting an oil-free remover to avoid worsening the problem.
"Eye makeup remover works particularly well for this," she explained.
Walker recommended tackling the stain with a disposable mascara spoolie and a towel.
"Place the item on the towel and apply a small amount of remover onto the affected area, using a spoolie wrapped in a cotton pad to help with removal," she said.
"Gently work on the stain in a back-and-forth motion for a few seconds at a time, pausing to assess progress.
"If the stain persists, repeat the process and then leave the item to dry.”
For her final recommendation, she suggested using a common hair product to tackle makeup stains.
"Hairspray doesn’t just work miracles on hair," the makeup pro explained.
“This is a quick-fix technique that is perfect for an on-the-go cleanup," she said.
"Simply apply an alcohol-based hairspray onto the stain and let it work its magic.
"Once it’s dried, go in with a wet wipe to remove any residue."
