£30m Greenwood battle
Manchester United are crossing their fingers for a transfer auction for Mason Greenwood after an opening bid. The striker is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer following his loan spell with Getafe.
According to reports, Italian side Lazio are among the first to have tabled an offer for his services. They value him at £30m. Interest in him does not stop there. Juventus, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with him. The Red Devils are happy to bide their time as they attempt to recoup around £40m for Greenwood.
Man Utd receive Araujo boost
Amid Man United’s search for a new defender, it appears they could have a golden opportunity to sign Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo. According to Marca, his future at the Camp Nou is now uncertain.
The Uruguayan defender has just two years remaining on his current deal. It is suggested that Barcelona have offered him a new deal which includes a considerable pay rise. Should he attempt to exit, Man United could potentially face competition. Bayern Munich are noted as possible suitors.
