But off screen the mum-of-one has faced family tragedy.

Kay sadly lost her mum to breast cancer - something which she has spoken honestly about.

In a previous interview with Good Morning Britain, she said: "My mum died when she was my age.

"My little boy was eight months old. It still makes me sad actually just to think about it.

The anchor also lost her dad when he was 66 years old.

Kay previously shared how her sister Jacqueline is currently battling breast cancer too.

In a recent health update to fans alongside a selfie, she said: "Thank you to all of you who regularly ask about my baby sister, Jacqueline.

"She’s had her cancer op. It was a big deal but she’s as strong as an ox.

"This was us in January. I hope it will be us next January and the one after that and the one after that ad infinitum."

Kay is a keen faster - something she adapted after going on a health retreat last year.

While there last year she sparked health fears amongst her fans by revealing she had completely given up food for 10 days.

She took fans on the experience with her as she updated them daily.

Kay has a grown up son called Alexander, who she shares with her ex husband Steve Kunter.

She previously posed with her 31-year-old only child as they enjoyed an exotic safari trip.

The pair were all smiles for the camera as Kay held a giant champagne flute.

She also recently made the move to her brand new home, showing a glimpse of the exterior to fans.

Kay had taken time off work for the big move, causing concern amongst fans she had left Sky News.
