THEY’RE two of the biggest groups of my childhood and now S Club are planning on teaming up with Steps to create a new super-group.

Chatting with me backstage at Isle of Wight festival, Jon Lee said: “S Club and Steps were around at the same time and our anniversary is only a few months apart.

“I’d love to get us all together and do a Steps Club reunion.”

The group were in high spirits as they performed at the festival for the first time, with Tina Barrett telling me: “Back then, festivals were all about rock bands like The Rolling Stones and Oasis.

“Now people are loving pop again. It’s not as embarrassing as it was back then, basically.”

One hot topic of conversation among the group too was Rachel Stevens’ new book, with Jon joking: “It’s summer reading for all of us… what has that b***h said about me?”

Only nice things, I assure you Jon.

Also backstage Caity Baser caught up with me and admitted she was among the few non-Swifties in the music business, saying: “I’m not a Swiftie.

"Not because I don’t like her - I think she’s probably one of the hardest working women in the whole world. I just wouldn’t go and see her live.”

The queues to get out of Wembley are enough to put anyone off.

VOGUE’s Fashion World show was so out there that even the horses ridden by Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were dressed in Hermes.

I kid you not.

Vogue did what it does best as it took over the Palace Vendome in the French capital, bringing in some of the world’s biggest fashion influencers and dressing them in some of the most exclusive brands.

Once Kendall was out of her uniform, she wore Gaultier Haute Couture by Simone Rocha, along with supermodel Barbara Palvin – who wore a naval themed outfit from the fashion house.

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter was also feeling the stripes in red and white vintage style swimwear from Jacquemus while Katy Perry went naked under her cool black outfit from Noir Kei Ninomiya’s archive.

FKA was also called up for the bash and wore a modern flapper style dress designed by Alexandre Vauthier, complete with a veil that reminded me of a nun’s habit as she hit the runway.

The celebrations after the shows went on late into the night, with Gigi changing into a cheeky blue dress from Balmain for a party at Maxim’s de Paris.

What a show.

'Footie suits hate anthem'

WE’LL be singing Three Lions until we’re horse when England play Slovenia in the Euros tonight.

But Ian Broudie has told how footie chiefs aren’t fans of the anthem he released with Frank Skinner and David Baddiel in 1996.

Ian explained: “I don’t think the FA were keen on Three Lions.

“They didn’t really like it when I delivered it and I still don’t think they’re very keen on it to this day. I don’t think they can get around the idea that it’s not about the team and it’s not [saying], ‘We’re going to win’.

“It’s not really trying to be a football song at all.

“If you had a list of the things that football songs do, they generally say, ‘We’re going to win the competition’, they generally have the team [singing] on it and they’re not melancholic.

“They can be a bit funny and laddy and I don’t think Three Lions is any of those things.”

One thing we know for sure, Ian – It’s still a belter almost 30 years on.

CYNDI LAUPER is to bring her first major tour in a decade to our shores. The Time After Time singer announced the UK and Europe leg of her Girls Just Wanna have Fun jaunt yesterday – billed as her final tour.

Cyndi will play some of the biggest arenas in the country next year, kicking off in Glasgow on February 8 before playing Manchester the following day and London’s O2 Arena on February 11.

She will head to Birmingham three days later before playing her final UK show in Belfast on February 16.

The perfect Valentine’s gift for the Lauper lover in your life.

Dave banking on stage hit

HE is one of Burnley’s greatest exports and now Dave Fishwick, also known as Bank Of Dave, is making his life story into a musical.

Dave, who I revealed is nailed on for Strictly this year, has just finished filming the second Netflix film about his story and is now working with Jason Manford on a stage show.

Dave said: “From Burnley to Broadway, it’s the only musical to originate from the centre of Burnley.

“I was asked about it a while ago and then Jason stuck his hand up for the lead role.”

Speaking about what fans can expect, Dave added: “I have said I’d love original songs but I do want one from my dear friends Def Leppard.

“It has been written and I am meeting the writers on July 5 to see the finished script for the first time.”

Dave is one of life’s nicest blokes and has gone out of his way to help people – with his bank lending over £27million to local people to Lancashire since it opened.

I am sure this musical will turn to gold, just like everything else he touches.
