A SAVVY couple who bought a damp caravan off Facebook Marketplace have showed off its very impressive transformation.

SJ and Joe explained how they snapped up the tired-looking vehicle for just £650 and set out on a mission to give it a modern makeover on a budget.

And they proved that the smallest details can make the biggest differences - after they gave it a total "light and airy" overhaul using bargains from the likes of Lidl and B&M.

In a clip shared to TikTok (@little_green_coronette), the DIY whizzes posted a short clip showing off the interior of the caravan before the makeover.

They penned: "POV: 11 weeks ago we bought a damp caravan cheap of Facebook Marketplace.

"I had a country luxe mood board in mind but wanted light and airy too."

Explaining the transformation process, SJ went on to say how they added a new tap and "zoned each area with interior design to separate each space."

With a "very tight budget," she noted how they made their own blind and upcycled and thrifted most things - including the gallery wall.

Speaking to Fabulous Digital, SJ revealed the couple also bought cheap kitchen and bathroom tiles along with kitchen accessories and mugs from Poundland, including the 80p vases on the dresser.

She added that she gave the dustpan and bathroom soap dispenser "a little makeover," while the bathroom baskets, all the bedding the kitchen sink caddy, ornaments on the dresser, and tea, coffee and sugar pots were from B&M.

"A lot was thrifted from charity shops ie pictures , T.V, LED candles," she continued.

"We mostly bought these from Cancer Research.

"We're lucky also with bargain stores in the North East such as Boyes (cushions and blind material) and Yorkshire Trading company (where the electric fire came from)."

SJ went on to point out that she purchased the rug from Lidl, sofa covers were "incredibly cheap" from Shein and the little basket was from Temu.

"The flooring was a returned remnant for £36," she continued.

"Everything has been done on a limited Budget and by ourselves- who were total novices, but love transforming small spaces."

SJ went on to describe the interior as "cottage core on wheels" and "dreamy," and it turns out she wasn't the only one to think so.

"That’s gorgeous I love it," praised one social media user.

A second penned: "Looks fab - well done!"

A third commended: "Love it!"

And one more chimed in: "Beautiful!"
