When it comes to Love Island, there’s one thing we can guarantee every season – a controversial new bikini trend. Last year the contestants sent viewers into a spin after showing just how many different ways you can tie a simple triangle bikini top, and this year it seems Grace Jackson’s love of a teeny tiny bikini has been baffling fans even more.
Grace entered the Love Island villa as a bombshell last week, shocking viewers and contestants as it was revealed she was already the ex-girlfriend of reality TV legend Joey Essex, who is also currently in the villa. Grace wasted no time in donning her collection of teeny bikinis in the days that followed, with fans commenting: “Grace wearing kids bikinis” whilst another added: “I can’t stand them tiny little bikini tops that Grace wears.”
Although some were less than impressed with her skimpy two pieces, others were more complimentary, with one writing: “Grace’s bikini is barely there- just about covers her nips and must be right up her Mary and a**e!!!! Wish I had her figure tho!” while another added: “Grace’s bikini… 10/10.” A third wrote: “Grace and that stupid green bikini” with heart eyed emojis afterwards, showing that they actually loved her look.
The green bikini that seems to have garnered the most attention from fans is the , which has of course sold out after Grace wore it in the villa, although you can still pick up the pink version in limited sizes for £10. However you can snap up a similar green version in Boohoo’s sale with the Crinkle O-Ring Bandeau Bikini Top, (was £12), which will give you a similar fit to Grace’s.
One of her most recent controversial bikini picks was the pink metallic matching set she wore for Monday 24 June’s recoupling episode. For the occasion Grace picked the from Australian brand I Am Gia, which costs around £18.36 to ship to the UK and is now sold out in almost all sizes.
Bernice Blackstock suffers new blow in Emmerdale as she struggles with illnessHer skimpy look may have raised a few eyebrows with viewers, but if you want Grace’s teeny tiny look for less, we found a great alternative on ASOS thanks to the ONLY triangle Bikini Top Co-Ord In Metallic Purple, , and the matching Tie-Side Bikini Bottoms, , which offer slightly more coverage than Grace’s teeny fits (although you can always ruche them more tightly together to create less coverage).
With Love Island airing every single night except Saturdays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, we suspect we’ll get to see plenty more controversial bikini trends before the end of this season!
