When it comes to make-up, lots of us like to think we're beauty professionals.

After all, we all have our own make-up routines, and adopt various practices over the years - but it doesn't mean we're doing it right. Professional make-up artist, Sisi Nike, said many people make a common mistake when it comes to applying foundation.

She said it can leave them with "patchy skin" as they're not actually covering their face properly. In a candid TikTok video, she explained people shouldn't put a little foundation on their hand, and then dab it on with a brush.

According to her, it "will not evenly disperse onto your face", and will instead lead to streaks forming. Sisi said you want the product to "evenly be dispersed" on your face, which means you need to change how you apply it.

In the video, you then see her put some product on her hand, and then completely cover the brush with the product - without leaving any over. She said this will help with the blending process, and enable the make-up to be even.
