Amazon is set to drop hundreds of its online prices this summer in its upcoming July Prime Day Sale, with huge numbers of their best-loved brands available for a fraction of the usual prices. The official date is less than a month away, with the retailer confirming today the sale will be spread across July 16 and 17.
Everything from Samsonite and Ninja to tech favourites Samsung and Google, and popular beauty brands like Revlon, GHD and Clarins are all discounted in the sale. Meanwhile, Amazon's very own products like its wireless security Ring Doorbells and Alexa devices will make a feature in the discounts.
It's one of the biggest shopping events of the year, with shopping writers racing to ensure consumers get the most out of it. And the biggest deal breaker is, in line with its namesake, it's only available to Prime members.

Shopper buys big fluffy rug from Shein - but was left howling when it arrivedThis means anyone who fancies getting a discount will have to sign up to its membership, but as ever a little-known consumer tip means you can avoid paying the usual £8.99 monthly fee and got hold of the sales without paying a penny. It's all because the retailer's current 30-day free trial lines up to coincide with the start of the two-day sale bonanza.
So, anyone who fancies getting hold of a 2024 summer Prime Day Sale bargain can make the most of its free trial without forking out the subscription cost. After the one-month trial this will then go up to the £8.99 monthly price, however you can opt out and leave when it suits you.
Despite being a few weeks away, one of the best things about Amazon's announcement is the flurry of earlybird deals that come with it. As we speak there are loads of discounts it'll be worthing keeping an eye on, as we've highlighted below.
Best Pre-Prime Day deals
Before the 2024 Prime Day Sale starts on July 16 these are some of the best discounts to make the most of. To find a condensed list of them all shoppers should head over to the 'Deals you might like' or 'Todays Deals' sections on the site.
Current early discounts include hundreds off Tvs including this 44-inch Sony 4K HDR device which is cut from an original £699 to a cheaper £450, while Amazon's own range of Fire TVs are also discounted. For tech fans there's worthy price cuts on Google and Samsung devices including the swanky Galaxy Watch 6 Smartwatch.
Beauty fans eager in the sale may want to save the official GHD Amazon storefront, as its another brand with current price drops. The Original Hair Straightener is now £105.99 opposed to its usual £139. Elsewhere, rival brands Dyson and Shark offer their own sales making it the perfect time to be scouring around.
Amazon also urges customers to follow a few tips to find the best prices, after all, there will be thousands of discounts launched meaning it can be tricky to find the best rate. The first thing is to set up deal notifications, this will put all of your most searched products into an alert list, which Amazon will notify you when one features in the sale.
Next up, it wouldn't be a Prime Day sale without plugging its popular 'Alexa'. Prime members can also set up deal notifications, add to their shopping wishlist or save a deal 'for later' by simply asking Alexa - handy if you have an Echo Dot, Fire TV, or Echo Show at home.
As summer price drops start launching in full swing there are plenty of rival sites consumers should keep an eye on too. As well as Amazon. John Lewis has just dropped a tech sale, while online beauty store LookFantastic is currently offering 20% off.
