As one of the greatest supermodels of all time, Naomi Campbell's name has been synonymous with walking high-profile catwalk shows and her romantic connections with a few A-list stars.

But over recent years, the 54-year-old's hard-hitting persona has dramatically softened since becoming a mum of two. And during an interview on Loose Women with panellist Judi Love, she revealed that becoming a mum is her proudest moment to date. When asked what her proudest moment is, she said: "Definitely becoming a mother, hands down." The style icon left the world speechless when she announced the birth of her daughter, later followed by a son.

The interview comes after she confirmed speculation that she had both children via surrogate. In an interview with The Times, the catwalk queen opened up on parenthood. She said: "My babies are everything to me. It's made me fear for the future." And when asked if she used a surrogate to welcome both children she added: "I did. I hope for a better world for my children. They are 110 per cent my priority. I have to be there for them on their first day at school." And it seems she is content being a single mother as she is happy being "a single mother of a single mum."

Naomi's last relationship was with UK rapper Skepta in 2018 and the following year, she enjoyed a brief encounter with former One Direction star Liam Payne. She had previously been linked to actor Robert De Niro, P. Diddy, Gerard Butler, Mike Tyson and Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin. She then spoke of her concern that the younger generation was putting off or by-passing the opportunity to have children as she insists parenthood is "worth it", even through hard times.

She continued: "I have heard a lot of young girls saying that it is too expensive to have children and they may not want them, and I have said, 'You will change your mind. You will want to be a mum'. I understand economically it is tough. But my mum had nothing and she made it work. It's worth it. It is so amazing." She added: "We have to depend on the younger generation to change this world. I trust my children more than us to do the right thing."

Naomi kickstarted her career at the tender age of 15 when she did her first cover shoot. But she said that she does not want her children to start their careers as young as she was. The star jetted abroad for her first photoshoot for Elle in New Orleans - but revealed she would be uncomfortable with her two-year-old starting so young. Taking a trip down memory lane in the fashion industry, Loose Women star Judi then asked her who had the biggest impact on her success. She replied: "Gianni [Versace] and Karl [Lagerfeld]. They were each masters in their own way. Alexander McQueen, he was also such a great friend. His friendship and support were unfounded."
