Liverpool are ready and waiting for Arne Slot to officially take over from Jurgen Klopp as manager.
The Dutchman will start his role on June 1 as he looks to build on Klopp's positive final season. The Reds finished third in the Premier League in the campaign just gone and won the Carabao Cup.
But Liverpool chiefs and fans have now been warned that it will take time for Slot to get up to speed in the Premier League. That message comes as Klopp was handed a farewell gift by his players.
And Darwin Nunez has outlined his plans to get "revenge" on his critics after a difficult season. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Liverpool news.
Slot warning sent
Brendan Rodgers has warned former club Liverpool they are facing a transitional period after appointing Arne Slot. Slot will replace Jurgen Klopp as manager, with the German having taken over from Rodgers himself nine years ago.
Premier League odds and betting tips“I think it is a transition,” Rodgers told talkSPORT. “When someone has been at a club for so long like Jurgen, he has his stamp all over the club, the staff, the players. He and his staff will move on, one or two players will move on.
“There will be that transitional period but Arne’s a good guy. I came across him when we played Feyenoord in the Champions League this season. His teams play good football and I am sure it will be a really good fit for him. Liverpool, another of those clubs, iconic club, big history, and I am sure he will go in and do really well.”

Nunez outlines "revenge plan"
Darwin Nunez has insisted he is ready to take "revenge" following a difficult season with Liverpool. Nunez frequently came under fire for his performances, but has claimed he is ready to bounce back next season.
“Whoever says that those negative comments do not affect them is lying, those negative comments that are directed towards you will always affect you. They tell me everything, but I ignore those comments because they are of no use to me," he told Por la Jersey.
