A MUM has bit back after people slammed her family's caravan holiday as being 'cheap and common'.

Abbie Milburn took to social media to show off her posh Haven caravan and prove once and for all there's nothing common about choosing to holiday at home.

After posting a video of her family's trip to Haven, a chain of holiday parks in the UK, some trolls slated the mum for not jetting off somewhere sunny instead.

But Abbie was having none of it and hit back by showing what it's really like inside the caravan she booked.

The mum explained she paid for a gold caravan, which is one of the most premium ones on offer in Haven's parks, and said it was "absolutely stunning".

Not only was it completely spotless, all of the kitchenware and furniture looked as good as new.

Fitted with a large kitchen which included a full size fridge, oven and dining table, as well as plenty of space for little ones to run around inside on rainy days - the caravan looked better than a lot of hotel rooms.

But it's not just the luxurious living space that sold Abbie on caravan life.

"Speaking from out experience, and I'm sure a lot of other parents can relate, they are absolutely perfect.

"This holiday had so much for [my son] Noah to do and he was living his best life," she said.

The UK stays are also the perfect option for dog owners, Abbie added.

A lot of caravan parks offer accommodation that's pet-friendly, so you can take your four legged friend with you to enjoy some beach walks and fresh air.

And although caravan holidays can be a budget-friendly option for families, they're not always as cheap at people expect.

Since Abbie, her partner and their 20-month-old enjoyed their stay during school term time they managed to get a cheaper than usual deal.

"During the school holidays Haven holidays are pretty costly," she said.

So, not the 'cheap and common' break that trolls slated her for.

After sharing her experience on TikTok others agreed that caravan holidays are underrated.

One commented: "Caravan holidays are the best, don't explain yourself to anyone."

A second agreed: "The best holidays I've ever had were at haven or park resorts and we were also taken to Egypt, Spain etc.

"Nothing beats having a caravan holiday!"

Someone else wrote: "We have been doing Haven holidays for 10 years with our children and we love it!

"I can't see why people hate on them, I did them as a child too!"

Meanwhile, someone else agreed with Abbie's point that they're not always cheap.

They wrote: "They are definitely not cheap, it's cost us £1,400 for a week in august this year, and that's just the caravan!"
