The Chase quiz master Mark Labbett has hit back at the suggestion he used Ozempic to achieve his 10-stone weight loss.

The ITV star, 58, has dropped an impressive amount of weight in recent years by simply sticking to a new and revised diet plan - but his fans have been left so shocked, they've questioned his methods. The drug Ozempic has become one of the most talked about medications over recent months after Sharon Osbourne came forward and said she used the drug to lose weight but feared she lost too much and is now unable to regain some of her weight.

The medication was originally intended to be used by diabetes patients but has now been used as a method to lose weight quickly. However, keen to distance himself from the latest Hollywood craze, Mark wasted no time in correcting those who questioned his weight-loss method. This came after he posted a picture of himself ready to tuck into a healthy meal of steak, grilled tomatoes and a garnish of rocket.

He captioned the post saying: "Having a sneaky Steak and Chips at Seasons Restaurant. Protein loading." And on the back of his post, a discussion about his shrinking frame ensued among his followers. One person said: "You look so slim!!!" Mark replied: "10 stone lighter love." But another jumped in to add: "Ozempic for the win." However, in a bid to not let the suggestion gain any momentum if left unanswered, Mark responded: "Nope. Would take it if prescribed it."

Despite his drastic weight loss, Mark has been the subject of much discussion for a completely different reason as he's recently found love with TV presenter Hayley Palmer. Known to many around the UK as The Beast, Mark celebrated his one year anniversary with Hayley earlier this month and appeared on Loose Women to discuss his relationship.

With Hayley by his side, Mark was asked if it had been a long year or a whirlwind. And as Mark was about to answer the question, Hayley jokingly interrupted with: "Say the right answer!" to which Mark said: "The secret to a happy relationship? Yes dear!" He continued: "Because we live quite a bit apart, obviously I live up by Sheffield and she's a Chelsea girl, we tend to look at our diaries and when we can sync up together. The good news is we see each other every few weeks but we make the most of it when we're together, so you get the best of both worlds."

And Hayley added: "We get excited when we see each other, which is really nice." Talking about their anniversary plans, Hayley said: "We're actually going, it might be quite sad to some people, but to us it's really special. We're going back to the bench, we sat on this bench on a beach a year ago and it's where we first thought actually, this could be something."

Mark and Hayley first met at the National Television Awards two years ago when his agent said in front of her that he had got Mark a Toby Carvery gold card. From that moment, the couple hit it off and went on their first date together. Recalling that moment, Mark said: "It was at the National Television Awards in 2022 when our then mutual agent said he got me a Toby Carvery gold card and she was like 'what?' You can take it along to Toby Carvery and take people with you and get some discount. For panto, I took the cast and crew out for a big Christmas party."

But after their first date, the TV personality was still left unsure if Hayley liked him or not. He added: "I haven't got a clue. I sort of said, 'I really like you, any chance of a second date?' and she goes, 'I've been flirting with you all evening'," to which Hayley jumped in and added: "I didn't! I played it coy, I said 'maybe'."
