Danny Dyer has officially moved on from his EastEnders days as he sports a drastically different look for a new role.
The former Mick Carter actor left the BBC One soap when his character vanished at sea in December, 2022, while trying to save both Janine Butcher and Linda Carter from drowning.
Since his exit, soap fans have been keen to know what the star would be up to and his newest role has officially been revealed this Wednesday, June 26, with an exclusive look at the Disney+ Rivals, set for release later this year. The online streaming platform has released a brand new trailer to keep fans waiting.
The teaser and snaps of Danny Dyer in the upcoming eight-part show, which is part of Dame Jilly Cooper's Rutshire Chronicles series, have shown that the 46-year-old actor grew a thick moustache for his new role, away from the stubble he sported while pulling pints at the Queen Vic.

The father of Dani Dyer will be portraying a character named Freddie Jones as he is set to star in the series alongside Doctor Who's David Tennant, The Inbetweeners alum Emily Atack and The IT Crowd actress Katherine Parkinson, among many other familiar faces.
But as Danny focuses on new projects, EastEnders viewers have wondered where Mick Carter really is and if he really passed away, due to the fact that Walford police never managed to find his body.
Theories have been swirling online since Mick's disappearance while his wife Linda Carter is facing one of her biggest downward spirals yet, months after murdering Keanu Taylor. But could Mick's return be what she needs to finally start building herself back up?
During a chat with Heat Magazine, Danny explained that his character may return to the Square, but he could be confined to Linda's imagination.
"Everyone is asking when I'm going back to EastEnders, which is very interesting to me", he said, "if there's no closure there, then maybe I would come back for a dream sequence."
"I don't think Mick could just rock up covered in seaweed! I think if they did it right, with the 40th anniversary coming up, if they came up with an idea of maybe Linda drunk or hallucinating, then I would come back and do some scenes with her", he then added, before admitting he'd love to work with Linda Carter star Kellie Bright again: "You know, because I do miss Kellie, and I think maybe that would stop people asking me when I'm f****** going back!"
