A WOMAN has been arrested as part of a probe into a sex tape allegedly filmed inside HMP Wandsworth.
The suspect is being held on suspicion of misconduct in public office after cops arrested on Friday.
It comes after shocking footage emerged from the prison in south London on Friday.
The video shows a female prison guard performing a lewd act and having sex with a burly lag as her discarded radio crackles with messages in the background.
A police spokesman said: "A police investigation was launched on June 28 after officers were made aware of a video allegedly filmed inside HMP Wandsworth.

"A woman was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on 28 June. She has been taken into police custody.
"Enquiries continue. We remain in close contact with the Ministry of Justice."
The X-rated footage of the acts – filmed recently by another con – was circulated among lags using illegally-held phones.
During the video, the prisoner behind the camera was heard saying: “This is how we live at Wandsworth.”
Police and prison bosses subsequently launched a probe into the video as it went viral on Friday.
The footage – also circulated on WhatsApp – shows the guard, on her knees, and performing a sex act on a lag, with his grey shorts pulled down.
The guard then takes her black jail-issue trousers down and starts having sex with the lag against the cell-door.
It is the latest troubling incident at scandal-hit HMP Wandsworth, remand prisoner Daniel Khalife allegedly escaped from last year.
He is said to have supposedly strapped himself to the underside of a food lorry, sparking a huge manhunt before he was eventually re-arrested in London.
Another female prison guard was also investigated after separate footage emerged of a cell romp at the Victorian prison in January 2022.

The sex tape comes after a report last month by HM Inspector of Prisons said Wandsworth - which holds more than 1,500 inmates - needs “urgent improvement” amid a surge in violence.
The prison’s governor, Katie Price, resigned during the inspection which highlighted “systemic and cultural failures that stemmed from poor leadership”.
