Both Arsenal and Manchester United are gearing up to battle it out for the signature of Celta Vigo's young star Gabri Veiga in the next summer transfer window.
At just 20 years of age, Veiga has enjoyed a breakout second-half of the season and established himself as one of the most exciting talents currently plying their trade in LaLiga. Spanish outlet AS report that the 'revelation' can count Mikel Arteta and Erik ten Hag as two of his admirers.
Veiga's rise has been nothing short of remarkable, considering he did not actually boast a squad number at the beginning of the campaign but at the turn of the year forced his way into the first-team fold.
Behind former Liverpool flop Iago Aspas, Veiga is Celta's most important player with an impressive amount of goal contributions at this stage of the season. The Celta academy graduate has six goals and two assists so far and that has caught the eye of two of English football's biggest clubs.
With that being said, Arsenal and United are not the only sides keen on prying Veiga away from the Estadio de Balaidos. A number of unnamed Premier League clubs are also keeping tabs on the midfielder's situation.
Premier League odds and betting tipsCelta are obviously keen on keeping one of their prized assets, but should Veiga declare his desire in a new challenge the Spanish outfit are thought to be confident they will generate a record transfer fee by cashing in on him.

That aforementioned confidence is inspired by the fact that Veiga's contract with Celta does not expire until the summer of 2026, meaning whoever does wish to buy him is going to have to meet the selling club's asking price.
Celta may have to contend with interest from fellow sides in LaLiga amid reports that both of Barcelona and Real Madrid are also keen on a move for the young midfield ace.
Expectations are growing among senior figures within the Spain national team that under the guidance of new boss Luis de la Fuente, Veiga will be handed his first international cap at the highest level sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, Veiga's full focus will be on helping to keep his boyhood club in the LaLiga after what has been a difficult season for the Sky Blues.
Celta currently languish as low as 14th in the table and hover just two points above the relegation zone. Manager Carlos Carvahal knows how vital Veiga is going to be if his side are to stand any chance of survival.
