Samsung, Apple, and Google are popular picks when it comes to upgrading your mobile, but this Bank Holiday weekend is proving to be all-eyes focused on the Galaxy brand. As hundreds of pounds are slashed off the newest S24 range and the flippable ZFlip5 in a deal it seems Apple can't match.
It's very rare to find discounts on Apple products, especially its newest iPhone 15 device. So when we spotted that Giffgaff had taken £120 off we couldn't not mention it but compared to rivals at Samsung, Apple's discount feels rather small.
That's because Samsung is taking it a step further this bank holiday in its wave of discounts which has seen the Galaxy ZFlip5 model drop to as low as £649 and the newer Galaxy S24 is now £499 - yes, that's cheaper than the older Galaxy S23. All models in the newest range are cheaper to buy as the S24+ drops to £699 and the S24 Ultra costs a lesser £949 - that's a £300 saving.

Save £135 on this luxury Hugo Boss robe that's now less than £35!Although the biggest price drop is reserved for Samsung's industry-leading ZFlip5 and ZFold5, the manoeuvrable handsets can be opened into multi-screen devices. Both of these are now £400 cheaper in the sale which gives the ZFlip5 a new price of £649, and drops the usually eye-wateringly prices ZFold5 to £1,349, often dubbed as a Google Pixel Fold rival.
The offer is only around until next week Tuesday, May 4th in what seems to be Samsung's celebratory long weekend sale and there's no clue as to when it will launch again. Having covered the S24 since its first launch in February the team here at Mirror Tech have not seen a price this cheap, the only exception being its trade-in loophole, which you can still do on the £499 price too.
When we thought the S24 couldn't get any cheaper than £499 Samsung will still allow anyone with an old phone to trade it in to cut the price even further - to as little as £19. Amazingly its offering £470 off the price for anyone who has a Samsung device to trade-in which includes an S23 Ultra. The trade-in price starts at £100 off and goes up depending on the model.
Anyone contemplating whether the deal is as good as the older S23 only need to check out Amazon's current price of the older model, as it's listed for £699 which is £200 more than the newer Galaxy range.
