Remo Freuler opened the scoring in the 37th minute before Ruben Vargas doubled the lead just seconds into the second half.

Bellingham however managed to score a brilliant overhead kick in the 95th minute to send the game to extra time.

Harry Kane then booked the Three Lions ticket to the quarter-finals with a goal in the next period.

They will take on Switzerland in the last eight.

The Three Lions were almost without goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for the vital clash.

The Everton ace appeared to hurt himself during the warm-up but was able to preserve and play in the match.
