Jamie Laing struggled to control his emotions after his wife Sophie Habboo revealed she had finally changed her name legally to Mrs Sophie Laing.

The 35 year old reality TV star, who made his name on E4's Made In Chelsea, tied the knot with Sophie last April at the Chelsea registry office before jetting off to Spain the following month for another elaborate ceremony. And while the 30 year old star had signed her marriage certificate, she hadn't changed her name from Habboo to Laing on her official documents.

But now, on their Newlyweds podcast, Sophie penned a heart-warming poem revealing the news. She said: "It's been one wonderful year since I became your wife, saying I do to you was the best decision of my life. We've laughed more and fought less since we wed, we've got weirder often pretending to play dead. You play games and tricks on me endlessly my god, and the way we meow to each other is a little odd. "

She continued: "You rub your abs to check they're there five times a day and you bum scratch and sniff will never be OK. I think it is obvious there is no one I laugh with more and life is infinitely better with you in it, that's for sure. Truly my best friend, you build me up in everything and I'm so proud of you and all of the endless joy you bring. It's cute we have our bizarre little language of our own and I'm happiest because you are my home. "

She added: "I honestly feel more safe with you than anyone, your my forever teammate and been in my corner since day one. Putting me first in every way, the kindest man ever how lucky are we that we get to do life together. You fill in all my gaps and you fill in mine too, you see, I'm just completely myself and you love me for me. Showing up for me always I really won't forget all the times you've been there, you are my sure bet."

As she concluded her poem, Sophie also became emotional as she said: "So happy anniversary from me, Mrs. Sophie Laing. Yes that's right Laing. I have officially changed my name." And it was at this point Jamie broke down in tears and jumped up to plant a huge kiss on Sophie's lips. Unable to fully grasp what she'd said, he tearfully asked: "You haven't? No you haven't? Have you actually? What! are you joking or being serious? I was not expecting that! I need to give you a hug, that means the world.Honey, that is a lot, have you actually changed your name. I didn't expect you to do that but that is the coolest thing ever. I'm really taken a back. That is so great. I love you so much. I'm so happy to be married to you."

This comes after The Sun reported earlier this month that Jamie had slept with socialite and the star of Buying London, Rosi Walden, five years ago. Rosi had appeared on MIC around the time of the alleged affair but her stint was brief. And looking back at an episode of the E4 show where Rosie is seen talking to her co-star Verity, she appeared to confess to their fling. At that time, Sophie, better known as Habbs, had only been dating Jamie for a few months.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain earlier this week with Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis, Jamie confessed that he was completely taken aback by her admission of changing her name. He admitted: "It was very sweet and emotional she surprised me that she had changed her name during our podcast and I had tears in my eyes. I was emotional it really caught me by surprise."

But it seems married life has taken a hit on the couple's intimacy. Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, he said: "I used to start doing joined-up handwriting then I thought, 'I can't be bothered with that as it's quicker for me to not do it joined up', I'm a bit like that in the bedroom. I don't give up halfway but I do remember that once I rolled on top of Sophie and she said, ''Oh, get on with it'."
