Woman's sickening admission she ate her nan's ashes – and explanation is bizarre

A woman has confessed to eating her grandmother's ashes in a bid to cheer her grieving mum up following her death.

Cheyenne, from the city of Narre Warren in Australia, shared how she put her nan's cremated remains in a bowl so she could consume them. Since then, she has encouraged her mother to join in and sprinkled them on her brother's pasta on another occasion. However, her sibling seemed to be unaware of what she had done.

Despite the controversial decision, Cheyenne believes her grandparents will live on in her "forever" after using her as a garnish. She said her mother didn't seem to mind the suggestion because it was "just for fun." She revealed her bizarre actions after calling into Fox's Melbourne breakfast show during their 'Cashfessional' segment.

But hosts Fifi, Fev & Nick were left speechless after they asked Cheyenne what her confession was. "I ate my Nan," she said. "My Nan passed away in August last year and got cremated. My family and I were grieving, so we went over to Mum's one night and we thought to cheer her up again… let's eat Nan."

All three presenters gasped in shock following the unexpected outburst, which led the grandaughter to further explain her actions. "After I did it once, I got Mum to do it because I didn't want to be alone in it. But that's not the only part of the story… this is the part I've told nobody. My brother got out of jail not too long ago," she added.

Fev, 43, interrupted and said "Oh God" before Cheyenne explained that she wanted to prank her brother who was finally out of jail. "I put some of Nan's ashes in the pasta sauce," she giggled. Co-host Fifi Box, 47, said she was trying to wrap her head around the concept before she asked: "This is so much for me. I'm taking this on board. Have you stopped eating her?"

In response, Cheyanne said: "I'll say yes for your sake, Fifi. I eat her just for fun. Nan will live on through me forever." Fev rounded up the conversation and commented: "I'm a little bit shocked. I don't get shocked too often."
