SABRE-RATTLING socialist George Galloway has insisted Taiwan is "part of" China in a Communist Party propaganda video.

Montages of genocidal maniac Chairman Mao accompany Galloway as he rambles Taiwan will "reunite" with mainland China and questions its independence.

The left-wing firebrand - who is campaigning for re-election in Rochdale - then accuses the West of meddling in China's affairs.

The Scot says: "The only real question is how and when Taiwan shall reunite with the mainland.

"Will it wait for the apple to fall from the tree, or for the tree to be shaken?"

Mr Galloway's monologue features in a documentary titled 'Taiwan Untangled' by Beijing-based China Global Television Network (CGTN).

The 21 minute film sees Chinese Communist Party (CCP) figures peddling revisionist history as black & white footage of the Chinese army plays in the background.

The show makes repeated attempts to undermine Taiwan's sovereignty, despite it being independent of China since 1949.

Taiwan was formed by the government of the Republic of China when they relocated while fighting a civil war with the CCP.

Chinese leader Xi Xinping has made it his legacy to seize control of Taiwan, which sits just 100 miles off mainland China.

Only yesterday Mr Galloway, 69, attacked Western politicians, tweeting: "None of our political leaders ever talk of peace or the pursuit of it."

Taiwan Untangled - which has just 16,000 views on YouTube - also features a raft of Western academics singing China's praises.

Among them is Calla Walsh, a so-called "American Youth Peace Activist", who slams: "To portray China as the aggressor is absolutely bizarre when I think China has the right to defend its territory against this imperial aggression."

Mr Galloway goes on to accuse the US of "intentionally" provoking China.

He fumes: "What exactly is Taiwan? Where does it fit in, in the global puzzle? Taiwan has been part of China for centuries. Yet the US and its allies are preparing for war.

"Throughout recorded history then, it is clear Taiwan has been an integral part of China.

"The world increasingly recognised this in the aftermath of WW2. Now almost everyone acknowledges there is only one China!"

It is unclear when Mr Galloway took part in the documentary and if he was paid.

But his role in the show - released earlier this month - could raise serious questions over his links to China during his bid for re-election.

The Electoral Commission told The Sun there is nothing in electoral law about media appearances though there are restrictions on who candidates can accept donations from.

They added that for a payment to qualify as a donation, it must be given towards a candidate’s election spending and on non-commercial terms.

Mr Galloway, who leads The Workers Party Britain, has made several trips to China and spoken in support of the nation at state-sponsored events.

He was approached for comment.

China has lurked around Taiwan for decades now - with threats of an invasion ramping up in recent months.

Beijing considers the self-governing island its own domain and vowed to take Taiwan by force if need be.

A chilling message was sent to Taiwan’s government last week, saying they were heading towards "a perilous situation of war and danger".

They blamed Taiwan for pushing the Chinese military closer towards a brutal assault - warning things will go "further" if they continue to feel provoked.

It came after dozens of warplanes filled the skies above Taiwan as an armada stormed towards its shores in the WW3-style mock invasion.

The unprecedented move was viewed as "a strong punishment for separatist acts of Taiwan independence forces".

Taiwan condemned the military drills as "irrational provocations".

Days later, a propaganda video showed the island being blitzed by dozens of missiles.

The clip was shown proudly on China Central Television CCTV network and showed Chinese jets and missile launchers unleashing hell on Taiwan.

Over 25 rockets could be seen plummeting towards the island before erupting into fireballs upon impact.
