Four-year-old boy killed after bus collision in Tipton

The driver remained at the scene and is helping West Midlands Police with enquiries as the force appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward

A four-year-old boy has tragically died after being hit by a bus in Tipton. West Midlands police officers were called to the scene on High Street just before 4.55pm yesterday (December 6).

The boy was found with serious injuries but nothing could be done to save him. The driver of the bus remained at the scene and is helping West Midlands Police with enquiries.

West Midlands Police has appealed for any eyewitnesses or those with dashcam footage to get in touch. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We’re appealing for information after a four-year-old child has tragically died after being hit by a bus in Sandwell.

"We were called to High Street, Tipton, at just before 4.55pm yesterday (6 December). The boy was found with serious injuries and heartbreakingly nothing could be done to save him.
