Drake has lost a $400,000 bet after Jake Paul was outpointed by rival Tommy Fury in their grudge boxing fight.

The YouTube star had finally got the opportunity to settle his dispute with long-term rival Fury in a lucrative Saudi Arabia clash with high stakes for both fighters. It was a big night for the influencer who was looking to prove himself in arguably the toughest test of his boxing career, against Fury who has had far more experience in the boxing ring.

Prior to the bout, Canadian hip-hop artist Drake had decided to put on another huge $400,000 bet on Paul stopping the showdown inside the distance. And the 'Problem Child' was unable to deliver on the night for the Canadian hip-hop artist falling to a narrow split decision defeat with Fury given the edge on the scorecards.

Just hours before the event, Paul had reacted with surprise to Drake's wager and asked that the he is handed a holiday with all-expenses paid. He said: "Wow, by KO knock knock who is there it is me? Drizzy, I have got you bro easy. But after that we need to go on vacation on you for all that money you win. You are paying Drake, let's go."

Drake has had mixed fortunes since beginning his recent gambling campaign on combat sports, with his bets largely on UFC fights prior to this wager. He first bet on Jorge Masvidal in his grudge match with Colby Covington, but the latter had his hand raised in a disastrous betting day for the Canadian.

His poor fortunes then continued after he backed American Justin Gaethje to snatch the UFC lightweight title from Charles Oliveira, but he was choked out last year. However despite a lack of success, Drake finally turned around his betting form winning a $1 million bet on Israel Adesanya who defeated Jarod Cannonier in a middleweight title defence.

Drake's positive form then continued after he won another seven-figure bet on British pair Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann at UFC London last March. The Liverpudlian pair followed Paul in demanding a prize from Drake after winning him the money, and the pair were gifted plush Rolex watches for their efforts.

Paul had come into the contest as a marginal favourite despite his rival's reputation in the sport given his destructive wins over Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley. The YouTube star had stated his intentions to become world champion and had already held talks with UFC star Nate Diaz over a potential fight next time out.
