Remarkable images posted online show how the £1million Ferrari F40 was being taken for a test drive on the A5 near Markyate, north of London, before losing control and crashing.

A service technician was rushed to hospital after an ultra rare Ferrari F40 reportedly lost control and collided with a lamp post near London.

Remarkable images posted online show how the £1million car was being taken for a test drive on the A5 near Markyate, north of London, before losing control and overturning after smashing into a lamp post. There are only 75 Ferrari F40s in the UK and the F40PRX is famous for its registration plate.

In one of the pictures, the entire front end of the vehicle has been dislocated, showing the front wheels, suspension, and luggage compartment. There is also a pole lying on the ground nearby, which might explain how the car ended up on its side. From initial reports, the driver was taken to hospital after colliding with a lamp post.
