At 37 years old, Modric is approaching the end of his career and is in the last 18 months of his contract with the LaLiga giants.

According to Footmercato, Modric's representatives have good relations with Al Nassr and its sporting director Goran Vucevic.

The report also suggests Modric would be able to sign a "very big" contract before retiring.

However, it is also said that Madrid will not force the former Tottenham star out of the club if they feel that he is still contributing on the pitch.

There is even talk of a potential extension to his current deal, especially as he is a current first-choice player.

However, the club have been linked with replacements such as Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

Modric has had an excellent decade at the club - helping them win 22 titles, including five Champions Leagues.

That feat is all the more remarkable as he struggled behind Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira in the pecking order in his first season at Los Blancos.
