The January transfer window has so far been relatively quiet with only a clutch of Premier League clubs having dipped into the market.

Liverpool are one of those having sealed the £37m signing of Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven - the Dutch forward having already made his debut for the Reds. Work appears unlikely to stop there with a number of names continuing to be linked with a switch to Anfield, the vast majority of those being midfielders.

With that being said, here are the latest transfer rumours to have made headlines over on Merseyside over the past 24 hours.

Dortmund lay down Bellingham demands

One of the most high-profile names to have been linked with a switch to Liverpool over recent months has been Jude Bellingham. The former Birmingham City youngster has shone for Borussia Dortmund and England this season and attracted a vast array of admirers in the process.

The German club have now revealed exactly what it will take to sign him. According to The Sun, any side interested in buying him including Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City will have to pay at least £130m with £100m of that being a one-time down-payment.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool would be willing to stump up an amount that high for his services or move onto alternative targets. For the time being at least, a January swoop looks unlikely.

Brighton CEO confirms Caicedo stance

Speaking of alternatives, Brighton CEO Paul Barber has confirmed that the Seagulls have not received any offers for Liverpool target Moises Caicedo having joked that the Reds do not have his email. The Merseyside outfit have been linked with a swoop for the Venezuelan international.

Speaking to CBS Sports, Barber said: “I’m pleased to say we haven’t had any [offers]. Maybe they [Liverpool] haven’t got my email because I haven’t seen any.”

Caicedo, 21, remains under contract at the AMEX Stadium until the summer of 2025 having joined from Independiente nearly two years ago.

Reds renew Koopmeiners interest

Whilst deals for Bellingham and Caicedo look unlikely at the moment, another potential signing could be Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners. According to Corriere Della Sera, the Reds have their eyes on the Dutchman ahead of a potential January move.

Liverpool have been interested in the 24-year-old in the past having previously been linked with a swoop in the summer of 2021 as they attempted to find a successor for compatriot Gini Wijnaldum. Koopmeiners has made 16 appearances for Atalanta this season, scoring four goals.

He has two-and-a-half years left on his current deal in Bergamo.
