Madonna visited Malawi with her children as she dropped her new single Back That Up To The Beat.

Visiting the charity she founded in 2006 - Raising Malawi - the popstar filmed an impromptu music video for the new version of her 2015 song.

The mum-of-six has adopted four children from the country in south-eastern Africa - twins Stella and Estere, 10, Mercy James, 16, and David, 17, who joined her on the trip along with her son Rocco, 22, from her marriage to Guy Ritchie.

The children could be seen playing football and dancing with the locals as Madonna enjoyed a warm welcome to the country she previously called a "second home".

David was the first child that Madonna adopted from Malawi, after she met him at the orphanage she partially funds.

The tot was suffering from pneumonia at the time, and she became determined to welcome him in to her home.

"[He's] the one I have the most in common with," she told Vogue in 2019. "I feel like he gets me; he has more of my DNA than any of my children so far."

Mercy James was also adopted from Malawi and could be seen dancing with orphans from her home nation in the new video.

"Back that up to the Beat……in Malawi streaming on all platforms now !! @raisingmalawi," she wrote on Instagram.

She founded Raising Malawi in 2006 to transform the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in Malawi through health, education and community support.

Madonna wore a wide-brimmed Gucci hat over her bright orange hair plaited into two braids.

She wore a green hoodie with camouflage trousers and suede boots as she carried a Gucci phone strap to the children enjoy her new song.

Madonna supports charities in the east African nation, regularly rated as one of the five poorest countries in the world. Average earnings are £200 a year.

The singer, whose wealth is estimated at almost £350 million, has given around £7million to fund education programmes.

In April 2009, Madonna's initial request to adopt Mercy James was rejected because of a residency requirement in Malawi. Madonna filed an appeal and the requirement was waived on June 12, 2009.

Because of the lack of adoption laws in Malawi, Madonna was advised against adopting there, but did so anyway after seeing footage of David as part of a documentary that she was producing about Malawian orphans.

"This adoption was the beginning of adoption laws in Malawi," she's said. "I'm happy to be the guinea pig."
