Adele Roberts has shared an uplifting update with her fans on her health journey after announcing in the summer that she is cancer free.
The former Big Brother star and radio DJ, 43, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October 2021, said she had taken the "first step" in hopefully getting her colon working again after surgery she had during her treatment.
Adele, who uses a stoma bag, revealed in November that she had her rectum removed and her stoma, which she named Audrey, is "staying for the time being."
A stoma is an opening on the front of your abdomen which allows waste to be removed from the body and into a bag.
Today, Adele shared how she's got a few more surgeries lined up this year, but told fans on Instagram : "I’m just so happy they can help me and there’s hope."

Today was the first step in hopefully getting my colon working again (post bowel cancer surgery). I may be down a rectum but I think there’s enough left to blag it and get things moving again [fingers crossed emoji].
The former I'm A Celeb contestant wrote that she was "super nervous" this morning but started chatting with a "lovely lady" who calmed her down.
Adele went on: "She was getting ready to have the second part of her surgery to remove breast cancer. Wow - what a woman?! Not only had she managed to enjoy her Christmas and new year with that in the back of her mind… but she was ready to face today. Absolute warrior! Hoping you’re in surgery now smashing it Queen! Go on girl! Thinking of you and your family and praying for a full recovery."
After thanking the " NHS angels" who helped her, the TV star said she's "in awe of the advances in medical science in the UK."
"Thank you to everyone who helps make that happen. You do us proud. The fact I can recover from bowel cancer, have a stoma, start getting my life back on track and today a balloon up my bum to sort out my stricture is just marvellous [laughing face emoji] What a time to be alive?!"
Adele went on: "I might be able to go to the toilet the ‘old fashioned way’ one day in the future. Might even get inspired by all the balloons and have a grand re-opening party [laughing face emoji and balloon emoji]."
She finished her post by thanking her stoma bag for keeping "me happy, healthy, alive and kicking."
"I love and appreciate you more than you could imagine," she said.
The star added that she and fiancée Katie, who was picking her up from the hospital, are going to enjoy some food and television when they get home.
