MRS Brown's Boys viewers are begging the BBC to axe the show as they all have the same complaint.

The comedy sitcom, which stars Brendan O'Carroll as Agnes Brown, aired its New Year's episode last night.

It saw Agnes await the valuation of a vase that had been in the family for years.

Meanwhile, Agnes' son Dermot and his sketchy friend Buster Brady were convinced Cathy's boyfriend was a vampire.

However just minutes into the show viewers were demanding that the Beeb axed the series.

They slammed the acting and script, with one claiming a five-year-old could write a better script.

"#MrsBrownsBoys about time it was cancelled," said one unhappy viewer.

Another said: "No more please ,I used to absolutely love it but it's lost its way."

"Just how many times is the BBC going to flog this dead donkey," wrote a third.

While a fourth posted: "A five year old could write a better script than this. How is this being recommissioned year after year??"

Mrs Brown's Boys will be back this year for four brand new episodes on the back of the festive specials.

The Irish comedian Brendan O'Carroll, 67, created the sitcom and stars as Agnes Brown.

He told TV mag: “We were hoping to do a mini-series last year, just four episodes to celebrate 100 years of the BBC.

"But Covid got in the way. Not Covid itself, but as soon as the lockdowns were lifted, everybody was rushing for venues.

“The BBC were adamant that they wanted to get four episodes, so we thought: ‘Let's book studios now for 2023 and we can do the four then.’
