Costa Coffee is adding three new drinks to its menu - all inspired by the iconic KitKat chocolate bar.

The coffee shop chain is switching up its menu from March 23 to April 19 - so you don’t have long to try the following new additions.

The three new beverages include KitKat flavoured mocha, hot chocolate and an iced chocolate drink.

Each one contains a milk chocolate sauce flavoured like a KitKat, along with a light whip on top, a sprinkling of crunchy KitKat pieces and a KitKat Bunny on the side.

The mocha and hot chocolate will also be available in more than 12,800 Costa Express machines, although you won’t get the KitKat pieces or KitKat Bunny.

A Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “We have a spring in our step this season as we’re delighted to once again be launching this special partnership with KitKat, offering customers the chance to buy returning favourites and tasty new additions.

“What's more, it’s also an exciting first for us to be offering the range inspired by KitKat across our Costa Express machines nationwide.

“So, make sure you visit your local store or Costa Express machine and grab a drink while you can.”

The news comes after Costa announced it will increase hourly wages for 16,000 workers by up to 7.3% from this April.

Base pay rates for Costa baristas will rise from £10 an hour to at least £10.70.

More experienced Barista Maestros will see hourly pay rise from £10.53 an hour to at least £11.23, depending on location and role.

The new pay thresholds will benefit employees working across 1,520 company-owned stores, and it means hourly wages will increase by between 6.1% and 7.3%, excluding bonuses

It is the third time Costa Coffee has increased pay rates in the last 12 months.
