Despite having her house in New York, she also stays at her home in Long Island.
Her estate is located in the town of Mastic, on the Forge River and is reached by a private gravel road in Old Mastic and encompasses 42 acres of land reaching down to the water’s edge at Lons Creek.
Anna decided she preferred the extra space in 1998 after taking a trip to Bellport.
She purchased the estate built in 1820 in the classic colonial clapboard style.
The interiors were decorated by Carrier & Company.
Since then the estate has joined up with neighbouring properties including an 1834 farmhouse "with loads of additions and 12 poky bedroom".
Anna bought a 5.0 acre waterfront house that had been marketed for $799,000 but was later purchased by Wintour for $350,000.
Both of Anna's children have tied the knot at the estate in 2014 and 2018 respectively.
The estate has been the backdrop to both of Wintour’s children’s weddings in 2014 and 2018, respectively.
Anna also opens the estate up to family and friends on Memorial Day and Labor Day.
