GOOD Morning Britain host Susanna Reid threatened to call HR on co-star Richard Madeley today after an awkward blunder.

The broadcaster stumbled over her words just before Andi Peters, live in Cairo, Egypt, promoted the show's latest big money competition.

It prompted him to joke that Susanna was like a malfunctioning robot that needed rebooting.

He joked: "Hopefully your reboot's taken place and you're firing on all cylinders again."

Back in the studio, Richard couldn't resist getting in on the joke, although he may have taken it a bit too far.

He reached behind Susanna and began fiddling around with her back as she flashed an uncertain glance off camera.

Richard said: "I'm just going to reboot her, hang on. Here we go. Try again."

Frowning, Susanna responded: "Can someone call HR?... I'm not sure that's allowed."

Ignoring the question, Richard threw himself back in his chair and laughed: "She's back on again."

Earlier in the show the pair bickered over Prince Harry's response to reactions over his Tom Bradby interview this week.

Harry was on Stephen Colbert's show in the US last night addressing some of the fallout from the release of his bombshell book Spare.

Richard believes Harry looks unaffected by the backlash to his spilling sensitive details about his relationship with dad King Charles and brother Prince William, as well as the revelation that he killed 25 Taliban fighters while serving in Afghanistan.

However, Susanna said Harry is clearly irked by the criticism which she believes has led him to do follow-up interviews to address the above points.
