A TEENAGE girl has died along with two others after an alleged stolen car driven by a 13-year-old boy smashed into them.

Kelsie Davies from Oakhurst in Queensland, Australia was killed just weeks before her 18th birthday in the horror crash in Maryborough, some 130 miles north of Brisbane.

Cops arrested a boy, 13, from Bundaberg after the Mercedes Benz he was allegedly driving rear-ended Kelsie's vehicle.

The crash was so powerful it sent the Holden that Kelsie was a passenger in flying into the path of an oncoming Mazda.

Kelsie's friend Sarah Gilleatt described the teenager as a "beautiful girl".

She told 7News: "She didn't deserve to die. Nobody deserves to die in this way."

Cops were called to the scene on Queensland's Fraser Coast at around 11pm on Sunday night.

Mum-of-two Michale Chandler, 29, who was driving the Holden, also died at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda, 52-year-old nurse Sheree, was killed as well in the horror smash.

Police say Sheree was on her way home from work at nearby Maryborough Hospital when she was senselessly killed.

A 23-year-old woman was also rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition with "multiple significant" injuries, according to Queensland Ambulance Service.

Heartbroken friends have paid tribute to Sheree, with colleague Caitlyn Brown telling 7News: "She was a light on the ward, just loud and boisterous.

"She's definitely going to be missed by many."

The alleged driver was taken to hospital but released shortly afterwards and charged with three counts of dangerous driving causing death.

He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court at a later date and remains in Hevery Bay watchhouse on Monday.

Cops are investigating whether the boy acted alone or if he had a passenger in the car at the time.

Reports from some witnesses claim another person fled the scene.

Police have said they weren't pursuing the boy at the time of the crash.

They have asked anyone who saw the silver Mercedes-Benz in the Maryborough and Hervey Bay areas to come forward.
