Amid a challenging season, Liverpool have given their supporters a few things to cheer about, with their win at Leeds the latest example.
The Reds hit Javi Gracia's side for six at Elland Road, with Mohamed Salah scoring two of their goals. There were also two for Diogo Jota, who ended his year-long drought with a second-half brace.
Jota's reaction to his achievement is one of the latest lines from around Anfield, with the former Wolves man recalling the advice he received from international team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo. There's also the latest on the transfer front as Jurgen Klopp's side move on from long-term target Jude Bellingham.
Jota's Ronaldo advice
After scoring his first Liverpool goals since April 2022, Diogo Jota recalled the advice given to him by Portugal team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo. Jota picked up a first-half assist against Leeds, but wanted more and got it.
Ronaldo had compared the goal drought to "opening a ketchup bottle". In essence, once the first drop comes out, more will follow.

"That's one of the sentences Ronaldo said and it really stuck in my mind all these years," Jota told Sky Sports. "I think football is unpredictable, and these are the things we like in this football game. Things can change very quick."

Owen rates top four hopes
Michael Owen believes his former club Liverpool can finish the season in the top four if they win all of their remaining games. However, despite a welcoming fixture list, the ex-England striker is not convinced the Reds have the consistency.
"With all due respect, it's a lovely run-in for them, and if they did win every game then they're going to get top four, I fancy," Owen told Premier League Productions. "But it's a big if.
"They're too inconsistent - they have been all season, so why, all of a sudden, are they going to go and win eight or nine games on the spin? So I can't see it happening. But you could say there's still a little flicker and a little chink of light at the end of the tunnel."

Transfer meetings begin

Jurgen Klopp's side have already explored the possibility of signing Ryan Gravenberch. The former Ajax midfielder moved to Bayern Munich last summer, but has struggled for minutes before seeing manager Julian Nagelsmann replaced in the dugout by Thomas Tuchel.
Gravenberch is expected to command a fee in the region of £25m, while another target - Brighton's Alexis Mac Allister - could end up costing more than twice as much. Still, neither is expected to fetch a fee anywhere near the nine-figure sum wanted by Borussia Dortmund for Jude Bellingham - an asking price which appears to have priced Liverpool out of the race.
